Getting Started

To order phone service, call 330-668-3300. The only requirement to our phone service is that you have FairlawnGig internet at the time of phone installation. You will receive your number and be able use it within 24 hours. If you wish to port an existing number to our service, the entire process takes 1-4 weeks.

If you wish to go forward with porting a number, please provide the following:

1.

A filled out Letter of Authorization (LOA) form, which you can obtain by emailing us at support@fairlawngig.net or visiting us at 3300 Fairlawn Service Drive in Fairlawn, OH.

2.

A signed copy of your most recent phone bill, no less than 30 days old. Make sure the bill includes your name, number, and address. Your signature should be in the white space somewhere on the bill.

Once you have both documents ready, email them to support@fairlawngig.net or drop them off at 3300 Fairlawn Service Drive, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.

FAQ's

What is the difference between Business Hosted Voice and your Analog Business Phone services?

$25 – Analog Business Phone:

  • No handsets included.
  • Priced per phone number/line.
  • Hosted on our community PBX server used for residential customers.
  • Phone is connected either via Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) or Ethernet cable.
  • All setup beyond connecting phone service to existing lines is to be done by the customer.

$38 – Business Hosted Voice:

  • Includes a Yealink SIP-T48S handset.
  • Priced per handset, not number/line. Can have multiple numbers/lines per handset at no extra charge.
  • Hosted on a dedicated PBX server in FairlawnGig’s datacenter, the handsets connect via a private network, providing additional stability and security.
  • FairlawnGig will take care of the entire installation of the phone system, including running lines, adding switches, etc as needed to each handset ordered.
  • More support from FairlawnGig – since the equipment is all our own, we can assist in more ways than if we were dealing with third party equipment, and we can fix and replace equipment as necessary as part of the included service.

What if I prefer a handset other than the Yealink SIP-T48S?

Most handset models are compatible. Feel free to send us an email to support@fairlawngig.net or call us at 330-668-3300 to discuss the viability of your handset of choice.

How will the handset installation work if I don't already have enough Ethernet cables run to where the handsets need to be?

This will all be taken care of during your installation. We will run Ethernet and install networking switches as deemed necessary in order to set the handsets up.

What if my handset breaks and needs replaced? Will I have to buy a new one out of pocket?

If your handset breaks, FairlawnGig will replace the handset. The configuration for your handset is stored here in our datacenter, and upon plugging a replacement handset in will allow it to automatically load the configuration of your old handset.

Advanced Features

Below are features which require a support call and some extra time to get implemented. These are available at no extra cost. Please either email us at support@fairlawngig.net, call us at 330-668-3300, or visit us at 3300 Fairlawn Service Drive to request the following features. If you need specific features not listed here, feel free to reach out – we may be able to create a new feature just for you!

Ring group

You can set your phone to ring your FairlawnGig phone as well as as many other phones as you want to make sure you get the call.

Ring groups can be set up to ring multiple phones all at the same time, or they can be set to ring one phone at a time – trying several phone numbers before hanging up or going to your voicemail.

Time Condition

This feature will allow you to send calls to different destinations during different times of day. Perfect for those who use their office phone during the day and their cell phones during the afternoon. This will let your contacts get hold of you with your one FairlawnGig number instead of fumbling over your office, home, and cell phone numbers.

Voicemail-to-Email

Email notification – This feature will give you an email notification whenever a new voicemail is received.

Email attachment – This feature will not only give you a notification, but will also attach an audio file containing the voicemail for you.

Email transcript – This feature will provide to you a transcript of the voicemail using voice recognition.

Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

This feature enables an IVR, also known as an autoattendent, to answer the phone for you – at which point callers can be directed to multiple numbers by dialing different numbers on their keypad. This can send users directly to an answering machine, to office workers’ extensions, or even to office workers’ cell phones.

The voice can either be computer generated or it can be a recording of your own voice. FairlawnGig can assist with setting the recording up in case you need to add music or do some basic editing of the audio.

SoftPhone

You can use your business phone numbers through your computer, your CRM, and/or directly through your cell phone. This is a great feature for businesses with work-from-home or mobile employees, and is essential for businesses that need to integrate calls directly with their CRM.

Intercom

The intercom feature allows you to use your handset as an intercom, also known as a paging system. You can send the intercom to multiple extensions or just to individual ones.
